Flies with zonkers have become very popular in Danish flyboxes. The slow current in our rivers is ideal for this type of flies, the wing comes alive and is swimming by it self. “Det gule lyn” (yellow lightning) is a very popular fly that I invented 5 years ago. This type of fly is my first choice and have given me a lot of fish. Try one on!
Materials:
Tube: FITS tubing, X-Small and Medium.
Tail: Yellow Fluoro fiber.
Butt: Lagartun oval tinsel, gold.
Rib: Lagartun oval tinsel, gold.
Body: Mirage tinsel and Ice dub in color yellow.
Wing: Barred Zonkerstrip from rabbit.
Hackle: Metz soft hackle and spey hackle in yellow.
