For season 2021 we are updating our Compact shooting head concept with a modern range of short, compact heads for switch and double hand work that re-define the phrase “Easy-To-Cast”. These lines are available in weights covering most encountered fishing with single hand- switch and shorter double hand rods, except the very heaviest line weights. They are short, yet extremely rigid and precise in the flight during casting.

3D+ Compact
These lines are available in weights covering most encountered fishing with single hand- switch and shorter double hand rods, except the very heaviest line weights. They are short, yet extremely rigid and precise in the flight during casting. We have spent a lot of time fine tuning the weight balance, the individual lengths and the transitions between the various densities to optimize them both in terms of sink speeds and tracking through the water. Their ability to stay balanced, yet powerful enough to turn over bulky, wind-resistant flies and cast further than you thought possible with such short lines make them a great all-round option.

4D Compact Multi Tip – pre-packed in mesh wallet
The 4D Compact Multi Tip line is the best and most economical way to get your rig correct from the start when fishing with Multi Tip Shooting Heads connected to a Shooting Line. This set-up consists of a floating 4D Compact Body and a mesh wallet with a set of three interchangeable tips of various sink rates (H/I, S1/S3 and S3/S5) for efficient targeting of fish at different depths. It is a complete range of lines that covers all kinds of fishing from single handed to Switch and all the way up to fishing with double handed rods, except the heaviest line weights and the longest rods. The 4D Compact line is super easy to manage and cast due to its short length. It has a powerful taper and works equally well with both Scandi- and Skagit style casts.

4D Compact Bodies – sold individually.
The 4D Compact concept offers a complete selection of Bodies and Tips, covering fishing with single hand, switch and double hand rods except the heaviest line weights. 4D Compact Bodies are available in Floating and Float/Sink 3 versions. They have a powerful taper and are super easy to cast both with Scandi- and Skagit style casts. The length of the bodies is between 5,0 and 5,4 meters, varying slightly with model, this makes them perfect for use with rods 14’ and shorter. When matched with the recommended Tip and a leader/tippet that has the correct length, they will handle both small and large flies very well, cast far and are very accurate.

4D Compact Tips – sold individually.
Guideline 4D Compact tips are designed to work perfect together with our 4D Compact bodies. They will of course work with other shorter bodies of various weights and brands. All sinking versions have Dual Densities to ensure a straight and efficient sinking path. They have outstanding turnover when used together with the correct body and leader length. We have developed the taper from the actual front sections of our original ULS 3D+ and Compact DD lines to achieve best possible performance.
