High N Dry prep products

Guideline is appointed distributor of High N Dry Fishing Products in Europe! High N Dry is a company made up of people who love fly fishing and have great respect for the value of a clean and intact nature. One of the unique aspects of the High N Dry team is that two of it’s founders are professional chemists who between them hold over 100 patents in the US.

Here is first a video with our staff member Rune Stokkebekk who explains how to use some of the High N Dry products before and after you have landed a fish.

Fly fishing and the love of nature brought them together and a goal to make the best fly floatants on the market that are also completely free of harmful substances. They have succeeded in this, and such a result also fits 100% into Guideline’s objective of “Clean all the way” and environmentally friendly products. High N Dry products are delivered in generous packaging that gives you good value for money. The content is absolutely of the highest level and, in our opinion, market leading.

Below is a summary of the five different versions of the High N Dry prep products, each one with a special purpose.

The High N Dry Gel Floatant is designed with special and unique materials and is specifically for those fly fishers that prefer to dress their flies with their fingers or those who prefer to dress certain areas of their flies. This Gel has a lower viscosity than most gels and this feature lets the gel both penetrate the materials in the fly if possible and it creates a protective barrier to keep moisture out. The High N Dry Gel Floatant is a gel for all types of dry flies and floating emergers. The consistence and composition of the gel make it also highly usable on flies tied with CDC.

Apply the floatant with your fingers and massage it into the fly, the gel is non-toxic and environmentally friendly so safe to use for the angler as well. A good tip when using gel on CDC flies is to start with the body and tail and then wings or hackle fibers of CDC last. This ensures that you don’t put too much floatant on the CDC, it only needs a light touch.

The floatant is delivered in a Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) bottle. This packaging allows for the maximum control of the desired amount of floatant to be applied. The fine tip of the bottle makes it easy to dosage the right amount of gel and top cap is attached to container with a tab so you will not lose it and there will be no leakage.

• Nonflammable, it contains no organic solvents, is 100% solids and is environmentally friendly.
• Long lasting formula. • Prevents the fly from getting soaked with water.
• For all types of dry flies, also suitable for CDC.
• Easy and precise dosage.
• Lid fixed with tab, secure from leakage and won’t come off.
• Strong price-performance ratio, 50% more in bottle than most competitors.
• Works well on strike indicators.
• Content: 30 g, 1oz container.
• Stable viscosity in hot or cold environments
• Shake well before use

The award-winning Liquid Floatant was designed with special and unique materials and is the perfect floatant for those fly fishers that prefer to dip their fly into a container. This method of application is simple, easy, and fast and allows the fly to be completely covered with a barrier that keeps moisture out. It works well on flies tied with all types of materials (including CDC) and is especially effective to float large stimulators and hoppers tied with foam application. Just dip and cast. It contains no organic solvents, is 100% solids, and is environmentally friendly.

This is our favored product for any flies with a CDC body, wings or legs. Instead of blowing the excess floatant off the fly after a dip we like to attach the fly to a rubber band on the vest/pack hold the leader and let the fly bounce by tapping on the leader. This is a highly effective way to get rid of any excess dip and it makes the fly fresh and well prepared to catch. A few false casts also works effectively to remove excess moisture.

The High N Dry Liquid Floatant is not only a streamside product, if you tie your own flies and need a pre-treatment by the tying vice this dip is super! By the vise you want to let the dip get soaked up in certain materials like dubbed bodies and synthetics to enhance their properties further. For a selective application like this we like to use a Q-tip or a fine brush.

The floatant is delivered in a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bottle with a silicone seal in the cap. This packaging assures that the container will not leak all over your vest and cause a mess. The cap is attached to the container with a leash to allow the fly fisher minimum distraction when applying floatants. The wide opening allows even your largest bugs to be dropped into the container. A full 67 grams of pure floatant is provided in a 2.5 oz. container, instead of the 1.0 oz. (about 20 grams) provided by most of our competitors.

• Supreme floatability.
• Easy application.
• Nonflammable, it contains no organic solvents, is 100% solids and is environmentally friendly.
• Streamside and by the vise usage.
• Works on all flies, great for CDC.
• Secure bottle, no mess.
• Generous bottle, contain 67g/67ml. 2,5 oz bottle.
• Shake well before use

The Liquid Spray Floatant is made of the same special and unique materials as our award-winning Liquid Floatant, but in a convenient spray bottle. This method of application is simple, easy, and fast and allows the sprayed areas of the fly to be completely covered with a barrier that keeps moisture out. It works well on flies tied in all types of materials (including CDC). It contains no organic solvents, is 100% solids, and is environmentally friendly. Just hold the fly by the hook, about an inch away from the spray nozzle, and squeeze.

The floatant is delivered in a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bottle with spray cap, making it easy and convenient to apply the floatant. A full 45 grams of Liquid floatant is provided in a 1.7 oz. container. Shake Well Before use.

The High N Dry Powdereded Floatant & Desiccant is a powder that greatly increases the buoyancy of your flies or strike indicators and is combined with a desiccant, which dries a water-logged or fish-slimed fly. The foremost usage of powder floatants is revitalizing the materials- and floatability of your fly when it starts to drown and look bedraggled.

Powdering the fly is simple, just hold the fly in the generous opening of the container, put the lid on and shake a little. This will cause the powder to settle around the fly’s materials and it will be fully ready for use again and highly buoyant. Powder floatants may fade the colors on they fly, especially dubbed bodies, so one can also choose to revitalize the colors by adding Gel Floatant, Liquid Spray Floatant or Liquid Floatant after the powder.

The floatant is delivered in a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bottle with a flip top cap allowing the fly fisher minimum distraction when applying. The wide opening allows even the largest bugs to be dropped into the container. All desiccants have a shelf life; therefore, the product includes a pressure sealed lid to prevent moisture from being absorbed into the desiccant prior to purchase. There are orange indicator crystals in the bottle. These crystals will turn green when the desiccant component has absorbed its maximum moisture and will no longer dry your flies.

• Float preparation from High-N-Dry Fishing Products
• Powder adds buoyancy to the fly fibers while desiccant absorbs and removes moisture.
• High floating properties.
• Lid attached with tab.
• Strong price-performance ratio.
• Content: 30 g in 2,5 oz container.
• Contains no organic solvents, is 100% solids, and is environmentally friendly.

The High N Dry Powdered Floatant with Applicator Brush delivers a very fine and even coating of water repelling particles to the dry fly. The coating is so fine it is almost invisible! The floatant also helps trap air and improve buoyancy so it is useful for both dry flies and nymphs. The advanced formula utilizes nanoparticle technology in conjunction with hydrophobic (water hating) chemistry for unrivaled waterproofing performance. This powder is formulated not to clump up and overload the applicator brush with excess floatant. This is a common problem that occurs with other powder floatants available in the market.

The dosage to the applicator brush tip is precise. Also, you should have no worries with applying powder to your dry fly or nymph on windy days! If you are fishing with flies that has wings or legs made of CDC this product is the best out there to revitalize the fly fibers. With the brush you can carefully revitalize any part of the fly to it’s originally shape and properties. This is a must-have product for your emergers and duns tied with CDC.

The floatant is contained in a sturdy 1.7 oz. HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) bottle with a special applicator brush that allows pinpoint application of the floatant. A full 1.8 grams of pure floatant is provided.
